About me

My name is Robert Randall. A fourth-generation Victorian, I’ve been living downtown for ten years.

I’m currently Chair of the Victoria Downtown Residents’ Association, the official community association for residents of Downtown and Harris Green.

I ran for one of the eight seats on City Council in the 2008 civic election, placing ninth out of 35 candidates.

I recently finished a term on the City’s Downtown Advisory Committee. I serve on the Clean and Safe Standing Committee of the Greater Victoria Commission to End Homelessness and VIHA/AVI’s Needle Exchange Advisory Committee. I’m also Strata Council condo building, The Mosaic. A few years ago I served a term as president of the Victoria College of Art Alumni Association.

When I’m not busy being talked into serving on boards, I work as a fine artist and graphic designer. I’ve shown paintings at RogueArt, The Ministry of Casual Living, Open Space and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. I’ve designed theatre posters for the Victoria Shakespeare Society and Theatre Inconnu and painted props and sets for several mode-for-TV movies.
